Kutwal Foods completes 10 years in business. Launches "U Fruit Drink"

Pune, March 26: City based Kutwal Foods Private Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of processed liquid milk, milk products, soft drinks and packaged drinking water under the brand name ‘Urja’ has now forayed in the fruit drink segment by launching ‘U’, an all new fruit drink in multiple flavors.

Prakash Kutwal, Chairman, Kutwal Foods Private Limited said, “It is indeed very special for us to enter this new segment at the time when we are successfully completing 10 years in this business. Getting into fruit drink segment is a logical extension to our existing business and we feel that fruit drink segment has great potential for growth in India.”

Introduction of the new Corporate Identity is a part of our long term strategy of revamping the overall brand architecture, since we would be having multiple brands representing different segments”, he added.

To begin with ‘U’ is being introduced in three different popular flavors including Mango, Pineapple and Lemon, which would be available in Pet Bottles of sizes 250ml, 500ml and 1 Liter and shall be priced at Rs.16, 27 and 55 respectively.

“We have created an all new state-of-the-art infrastructure for manufacturing the fruit drink at our existing manufacturing facility in Shirur Taluka of Pune District. It is a fully automated processing plant with an automatic blowing and high speed bottle filling machines. The plant is well equipped with ultramodern laboratory for stringent quality checks and is managed by highly trained and well experienced staff”, informed Ram Kutwal, Director, Kutwal Foods.

‘U’ will reach customers through a an established network of 250 distributors of the company in Maharashtra & Karnataka and through 60 Urja Retail outlets in Maharashtra, which are exclusive brand outlets selling only Urja products and thus ‘U’ is expected to be available at around 1 Lac touch-points.

Commenting on the immediate future plans of the company Ram Kutwal said that with the launch of ‘U’ the company is adding Goa to its distribution network and subsequently intends to enter in neighboring states of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in the next 2 years time. Adding new flavors in ‘U’ and introduction of this drink in Cans is also on cards in near future.
